After this week's episode of Kenobi, I decided to go back and watch the 2D Clone Wars once again.

Everytime I watch it, I feel like a kid again, watching the 3 minute mini-episodes on Cartoon Network. My family were huge Samurai Jack fans - so when we found out that Gendy was working on the Clone Wars, we just had to see it.
We were lucky enough to grab the DVDs of both volumes of the series not long after its debut. The hours I spent rewatching that series...

So here we are, nearly 20 years later and I'm right back to being a kid again. Anakin's Azure Angel Starfighter always captivated me. The style of the whole show, the direction and storytelling, all of it. Just incredible.

And I thought it would be cool to try my F-Zero drawing format with a different series. Needless to say Im in love with it.

Testing out some rotoscoping animation, practicing for a future project!

Rotoscoping animation (for those who don't know) is animating over existing video - so for this, I actually put my Ren-Fest cloak on and filmed myself walking. Then, I went frame by frame and traced over it. It was a lot of fun, but dang was it tedious. The 2nd shot (walking toward the camera) ran into some problems, so I decided to go with fewer frames. Having a reliable video to work off of is very important. All part of the learning experience!
